xceeda Graduate Portal Application Guidelines

Thank you for your interest in featuring your profile on the xceeda Graduate Portal. This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your skills and qualifications to potential employers in the investment banking industry. These guidelines apply to both new applicants and those updating their existing profiles.

Please carefully read the guidelines below before starting your application, as they outline the requirements and process for qualifying to be featured on the portal.

Eligibility Criteria

The Graduate Portal is open to University Graduates, industry professionals transitioning into investment markets following an advanced degree (CFA, Masters, MBA), and a select number of internships for university students in their penultimate year of study.

To be eligible for inclusion on the xceeda Graduate Portal, you must meet the following criteria:

Internships Criteria:

  • Currently studying a finance-related degree at an Australian University.
  • In your penultimate year of study with a WAM of 75+.
  • Available for on-site internship placements.

Graduate Analyst Criteria:

  • Graduated from an Australian University within the last 18 months.
  • Have a WAM of 75+.
  • Have unrestricted Australian working rights (Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or a visa with full work rights).

Industry Associate Criteria:

  • Under 6 years of industry experience.
  • Completed a relevant advanced degree (CFA, MBA, Masters in Applied Finance).
  • Have unrestricted Australian working rights.

Application Process

1. Sign Up

  • Register on the xceeda website to access the Graduate Portal. This will unlock access to training courses, premium articles, events, and the option to apply for your profile to be featured on the xceeda Client Portal, where potential employers can view your profile and invite you for interviews.

2. Profile Creation

  • Ensure you are fully prepared with all required information and that each section of the application is completed accurately and thoroughly.

Application Form Requirements:

  • Personal information: Name, email address, phone number, date of birth, gender.
  • Working status and notice period.
  • A short elevator pitch highlighting your career goals and suitability for a role in investment banking.
  • A cover note (optional for additional details).
  • Academic history, including a PDF copy of your academic transcripts.
  • Relevant professional experience, including dates, responsibilities, and achievements.
  • Languages spoken.
  • Extracurricular activities, certifications, volunteer work, and any relevant special projects.
  • Work areas of interest and preferred location.

Tip: Review your profile for spelling and grammatical errors to ensure it reflects your professionalism.

3. Photo Requirements

  • A professional headshot is mandatory for those wishing to be featured on the portal. This photo will be visible to potential employers.
    Specifications: The photo should be in a clear, high-resolution format with a plain background. Ensure the image size and format comply with the instructions provided during the application process.

4. Video Requirements

  • Upon approval of your application, the xceeda team will coordinate with you to create a brief introduction video that will be showcased alongside your profile.

5. Profile Content Guidelines

  • Accuracy: All information must be accurate and truthful. Misrepresentation of any kind will result in disqualification from the portal.
  • Professionalism: Your profile reflects your professionalism. Maintain a formal tone, especially in your elevator pitch.
  • Keywords: Incorporate industry-relevant keywords to enhance the visibility of your profile to potential employers.

Review and Approval

  • Selection Criteria: The xceeda team will review all submitted profiles to ensure they meet the eligibility criteria and quality standards.
  • Review Process: Profiles are carefully evaluated based on the completeness, accuracy, and relevance of the information provided.
  • Expected Timeline: The review process typically takes 2-4 weeks. You will be notified of the outcome within this timeframe. If any revisions are needed, you will be given the opportunity to make those changes.

Privacy and Data Protection

  • Data Usage: Your personal information will be used solely for the purpose of showcasing your profile to potential employers. Only authorised partner companies will have access to your profile.
  • Consent: By applying, you consent to your profile being shared with these companies. Your data will be stored securely and will not be used for any other purposes.
  • Data Retention: Your profile will remain active on the portal for a period of twelve weeks unless you request its removal, or we remove it prior to this.

Terms and Conditions

  • Account Maintenance: You are responsible for keeping your profile current. If your circumstances change (e.g., you accept a full-time position elsewhere), please notify us promptly so we can update your profile visibility accordingly.
  • Misrepresentation: Any false information will result in your profile being removed from the portal without notice.
  • User Agreement: By submitting your application, you agree to the xceeda Graduate Portal’s terms and conditions.
